FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions families ask most before partnering with Parker Place.
Is an estate sale the right choice for my situation?
Why should I hire a professional estate sale company?
A professional estate sale company brings structure, market knowledge, staging, pricing, and targeted promotion to the process. This can help attract serious buyers, reduce the burden on families, and support a more successful overall liquidation.
How do I prepare for an estate sale?
Before the initial evaluation, set aside any personal, sentimental, or family items you wish to keep. Everything else can remain in place. Parker Place will handle the sorting, preparation, staging, pricing, and professional presentation of the items to be sold.
What types of items does Parker Place sell?
Parker Place sells antiques, vintage furnishings, artwork, folk art, collectibles, decorative objects, jewelry, and quality household goods. Our goal is to present each estate thoughtfully while identifying pieces that may benefit from specialized pricing, marketing, or placement.
How do you price items?
We combine professional research with decades of hands-on antiques, estate acquisition, and resale experience. Our pricing approach considers market demand, condition, quality, rarity, and the pace needed for a successful estate liquidation. The goal is to price thoughtfully so noteworthy pieces are recognized while inventory continues to move.
Do you buy antiques or estate items outright?
How does estate sale pricing and commission work?
Does Parker Place host estate sales in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?
What happens to items that don’t sell?
How do I shop your current inventory?
You can shop Parker Place through local estate sales, private consignment offerings, curated online listings, and select antique booth locations. In North Texas, visit Parker Place at High Street Antiques & Design in Plano, Texas, on “Piccadilly Street” inside the mall. Our Jasper, Alabama booth is planned for later in 2026, with additional estate sale and consignment opportunities shared through the Parker Place website and social media.
