Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions families ask most before partnering with Parker Place.

Estate sales are ideal for major life transitions such as downsizing, relocating, or settling an estate. If you need to thoughtfully liquidate the contents of a home, Parker Place provides a full-service solution from initial evaluation through final cleanout.

A professional estate sale company brings structure, market knowledge, staging, pricing, and targeted promotion to the process. This can help attract serious buyers, reduce the burden on families, and support a more successful overall liquidation.

Before the initial evaluation, set aside any personal, sentimental, or family items you wish to keep. Everything else can remain in place. Parker Place will handle the sorting, preparation, staging, pricing, and professional presentation of the items to be sold.

Parker Place sells antiques, vintage furnishings, artwork, folk art, collectibles, decorative objects, jewelry, and quality household goods. Our goal is to present each estate thoughtfully while identifying pieces that may benefit from specialized pricing, marketing, or placement.

We combine professional research with decades of hands-on antiques, estate acquisition, and resale experience. Our pricing approach considers market demand, condition, quality, rarity, and the pace needed for a successful estate liquidation. The goal is to price thoughtfully so noteworthy pieces are recognized while inventory continues to move.

Yes. Depending on quality, condition, and current market demand, Parker Place may purchase select antiques, furnishings, artwork, decorative objects, and estate items outright. This can be a good option for clients with a few meaningful or higher-value pieces rather than a full household to liquidate.

Parker Place works on a commission-based structure, with fees based on the size of the estate, the volume and type of contents, preparation needs, and the logistics required for the sale. Commission and service details are reviewed clearly during the evaluation process so families understand the approach before moving forward.

Yes. Parker Place serves Jefferson and Walker Counties in Alabama and offers select estate sale projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Richardson, McKinney, Prosper, Celina, Allen, and nearby North Texas communities, on a project-by-project basis. You can shop Parker Place through local estate sales, private consignment offerings, curated online listings, and select antique booth locations. In North Texas, visit Parker Place at High Street Antiques & Design in Plano, Texas, on “Piccadilly Street” inside the mall.
